I got the cylinder head off. It's definitely a mess. I blew out three holes in the cylinder wall. The piston has some definite valve gouges in it, part of my valve was down there, the piston was in a few pieces and the rings and whatever was left to my piston was down in the crankcase. I think it's safe to say that this LS1 is DONE SON. Here's some pictures;
